Hot Weather Arrangements
With the current spell of warm weather expected to continue, we would like to ensure that all students remain comfortable while maintaining high standards of dress and presentation.
From Monday 22nd June students will be permitted to attend school wearing their full OPHS PE kit instead of their usual uniform. We will monitor the weather and let you know when we will return to full uniform.
Please note that this concession applies only to the official school PE kit. Students may wear their OPHS PE top with navy shorts or skort. Please be reminded that tight-fitting shorts, cycling shorts and leggings etc are not permitted.
If students prefer to continue to wear their usual uniform, they may do so.
All other expectations regarding uniform and appearance remain firmly in place regarding jewellery and false items such as nails and lashes – these will continued to be challenged if seen in school.
Students are also encouraged to:
- Bring in one or two refillable water bottles to school each day. This can be refilled at break and lunchtime in the school canteen/canopy
- Apply sunscreen before leaving home, if appropriate;
- Wear a hat when outside during break and lunchtime if they wish;
- Seek shade and stay well hydrated throughout the day.
We appreciate your support in ensuring that students come to school dressed appropriately and are prepared for the warmer conditions.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and have a wonderful weekend,
Yours faithfully,
Mrs S Lach
Deputy Headteacher
