New communication app

We are changing the communications platform which we use to send home messages, letters and other information.
The new service we will be using is an app-based platform called ‘My Ed’. This will work in a similar way to our current communications provider, but offers some advantages. For example, parents / carers will be able to notify the school of absences through the app, and the parent dashboard will link to the other products which the school uses for accessing attendance, rewards, sanctions and reports.
We are able to send you messages directly to the MyEd App and to remind you of events that are taking place at school.
You will receive a notification if we send you a message; there is no charge for the messages you send to us.
In order to benefit from the service, we strongly encourage all parents to download the My Ed app to a smartphone.
The My Ed App is available for both iOS and Android devices and can be found using the links below:
- Go to your App Store
- Search for MyEd
- Download the app for free
Once you have installed and opened the MyEd app, search for Oaks Park High and follow the simple instructions to identify yourself.
Please note however, that My Ed is set up to send letters and messages to just ‘Parent 1’ on our system. We know that in many instances, both parents/carers want to receive copies of all correspondence at the same time. Therefore we are asking that if you want us to change the settings on your system so that parent/carer 1 and 2 both receive all communication, please email the office: office@oaksparkhigh.org.uk with the heading MY ED so we can change settings.
We will not be using the Weduc platform after Thursday. Please note there may be a delay in the app linking to your child or children at the school, so this may not show immediately. If you do not have a smartphone, or you do not want to use the app, we will still send all messages by email as well as through the app.
