National Careers Week 7th to 12th March

National Careers Week (NCW) is a celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK. The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people leaving education.
There are virtual careers talk from some great companies about careers and plenty of videos on each day students are able to access:
Monday: NatWest group
Tuesday: Careers at Sea
Wednesday: Health Careers
Thursday: BBC bitesize
Friday: Civil Service

You are able to book to register for the following events (but will need a UCAS account) :
Monday – UCAS/Discovery online: Just like a careers fair, this is your chance to meet and speak to universities and apprenticeship providers about the opportunities open to you.
Tuesday – What are employers looking for? We’ll be sitting down with employment experts, Reed talking about the different skills and qualifications employers look out for when filling jobs.
Wednesday – UCAS Careers Discovery Workshop. Led by careers expert, Katie Bateman, this session is all about discovering what’s the right choice for you.
Thursday – Careers Q&A with Joanne Elliott. We’re asking your questions to careers adviser, Joanne. Whether it’s about finalising your options, next steps, or you’re overwhelmed and don’t know where to start, Joanne is here to help.
Friday – Careers of the future with Worldskills.
