World Book Day news from the LRC
Posted: 26/02/21
We are gearing up for World Book Day which takes place on Thursday March 4th this year. We have lots of events and activities planned for students at home and in school, including things for the whole family to share and enjoy!
Ahead of the day itself, we have put together for a special Oaks Park High book recommendations pack across a variety of genres to encourage wider reading and for students to try something new.
These can be found on our dedicated World Book Day webpage!
The theme of this year's World Book Day is 'Share A Story' - so please do share with us what your child is reading as we are always happy to hear from families and can give you personal recommendations for all age groups, from children's books through to adult fiction.
Happy reading!
We have lots of other activities and events planned for the whole school celebration of World Book Day! In fact, we have so many, we will be celebrating the joy and pleasure of reading across the first two weeks of March.
Please do get involved in making and baking something to eat on a bookish theme - send in your photos to us of your creations lrc@oaksparkhigh.org.uk and we will share the pictures with students and families!
We hope you enjoy the quizzes and cooking together.
