Postponed - Christmas Lunch & Jumper Day 2020,
Posted: 1/12/20
Postponed until Thursday 17th December!
I am pleased to tell you that our annual Christmas lunch will take place on Friday 11th December. We will also celebrate Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Save the Children and therefore on the same day students will be allowed to wear a Christmas jumper/‘mufti’ in exchange for a £1 cash charity donation.
We will be offering students a Christmas turkey lunch or vegetarian alternative. Lunch times will be extended on the day, and we will also enjoy Christmas music and festive competitions. As is current practice, lunch will be taken in year group bubbles and the usual hygiene practices will be enforced.
The two course Christmas Lunch costs £2.30 and must be pre-booked and paid for by Friday 4th December. There will be no other meal served at lunchtime on this day. Those who do not choose to book a Christmas lunch can purchase a sandwich at break time or should bring a packed lunch. Students who have a free school meal allowance will receive the Christmas lunch, or may opt to collect a sandwich at break time.
Please let us know your child’s/children’s choice/s by completing the link here. If you are selecting the Christmas lunch, this must be paid for via your child’s ParentPay account by December 4th. If your child is entitled to Free School Meals, you do not need to do anything other than indicate their meal preference via the form.
Finally, please note that, apart from the lunchtime festivities, Friday 11th December will be a normal working day with usual lessons taking place. Students are therefore expected to bring all books, equipment and PE kit as usual. Students must wear their lanyards and usual school expectations about jewellery, makeup and hair colour still apply.
