On Friday 6th June, our PTA, The Friends of Oaks Park High, hosted a quiz night fundraiser at school for parents and staff.

The night was a roaring success, with 145 people making up 23 teams to battle it out over their music, history, popular culture and general knowledge, and show off their creative skills!

The quiz questions were devised by our hosts, Jo and Cal, the proprietors of The Sun pub in Carshalton. They also sourced the refreshments and provided top prizes for the worthy winners.

There were a number of side-quests to increase the chances of winning a prize. We had a round of Heads and Tails, a Creative Cup competition and a 'build a tree' activity for teams to collaborate on during the evening. There were some very creative uses of breadsticks and celery!

The evening was an opportunity for parents and staff to meet and socialise in an informal setting while raising funds for the school, primarily for a new and much needed minibus.

We made over £2000 on the night, an incredible total.
