New Trust CEO

Dear Parent/Carer

I thought that you would want to know that there will be a change in the CEO with effect from September 2025.  This is due to the retirement of the existing CEO, after nearly 30 years of working within the Trust. Ms Allott has made a truly outstanding contribution to the success of The Trust, its schools and education in the wider community.  We will be very sorry to see her leave us in September and will say more about her achievements nearer her retirement date.

Looking forward, we are very pleased to be able to confirm the appointment of our new CEO, Mr Christian Hicks.  Mr Hicks will join us in September 2025 and has a wealth of educational leadership experience.

Mr Hicks has been working for Ofsted as an HMI since 2023.  Prior to this, Mr Hicks worked for The Charter Schools Educational Trust, initially as Headteacher of the highly successful Charter School North Dulwich and then as Executive Headteacher of  Charter North and its sister school The Charter School East Dulwich.

Further to his appointment, Mr Hicks commented 'I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to be the CEO of such a fantastic trust. I very much look forward to working with the whole school community to continue the great work that Ms Allott has delivered over the years and to leading the Trust in the next stage of its development.'

We are looking forward to Mr Hicks joining the Trust and working with us to develop further what we do and what we offer your child, our student.    The schools will continue to run as they do now, day to day, under the continued able leadership of their Headteachers, and Senior Leadership Team and Mr Hicks will be a very important part of the team that makes sure that our students are at the centre of what we do.

On behalf of the Trust Board we wish you a very good Easter break.

Yours faithfully

Richard Beer
Chair of the Trust Board
