World Cultural Diversity Day Celebration
Posted: 12/05/25

World Day for Cultural Celebration and Diversity is coming up and for the first time at Oaks Park we will be celebrating with a day packed full of exciting events.
During this day, Wednesday 21st May, students will participate in a range of events.
As part of these celebrations, students will be permitted to wear non-uniform (£1 donation to Show Racism the Red Card). We would like to encourage all students to wear clothing or cultural attire that represents themselves, their culture, their heritage, or their identity.
There is more detailed information about the day's events and ideas for what students might choose to wear in our letter that was emailed home and linked here.
The plan for the day will vary slightly for Year 11 and Post 16 students and as such further communication will follow where relevant to you.
Students may bring in a small amount of change for the day as some stalls will accept donations, all proceeds will go to Show Racism the Red Card.
We are very much looking forward to the day hope you will encourage your child to engage fully in the principles of cultural celebration, diversity and inclusion and that they enjoy the day.
