As you will know, the weather is forecast as being very hot and therefore we will take extra precautions to ensure students are kept out of the sun, are kept hydrated and are not affected by the heat.  Students - participating or not - should attend in their PE kit and may remain in their kit all day.

We have made changes to the timings so that all events take place in the morning (the coolest part of the day) and taken out some of the lengthier events.  The schedule will now be as follows:

• 8.45 - 11am - Years 7 & 8
• 11.10 -1.10pm  - Years 9 & 10

There is plenty of shade outside where students will sit when watching or not participating.   Students will be taking part in activities in rotation and will rest between activities. Please note that students will not be having their usual morning break, so please provide a snack/additional drink if required. 

Please can you ensure that your child:

• Brings in a large refillable water bottle
• Wears sunscreen
• Brings a hat

Students will be their usual lessons when they are not in Sports Day, so they need to bring their books and equipment for these lessons too.  For Years 7 and 8, this will be periods 3 to 5 and for Years 9 and 10, this will be lessons 1, 2 and 5. 

Parents and carers are welcome to come along and spectate.  (Please note that there is more limited shade in the parents area, so please bring a hat!)  Please access the school via the black gates in the staff car park, where you will be required to sign in at any time during the event.
